Walking into new Germantown restaurant Lulu feels like you’ve been transported to an airy and casual Southern California eatery.  Located in the more-than-century-old John Geist property at 313 Jefferson St., Lulu has white brick and tiled walls with natural wood features, a mix of seating areas throughout, a walk-up window for people on the go and an open food prep area planted in the middle of the space.

Middle Tennessee Home Sales See Strong Spring Start in March

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 7, 2017) – There were 3,420 home closings reported for the month of March, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This figure represents an 8.9 percent increase compared to the 3,141 closings in March 2016.  Data for the first quarter of 2017 showed 8,338 closings, up 9.7 percent from the 7,601 closings during the first quarter of 2016.

Frothy Monkey to open new location in The Nations

The Tennessean is reporting that the Frothy Monkey has signed a lease to open it’s sixth location in the The Nations.  The first Frothy Monkey opened on 12th Avenue South as the 12South neighborhood was just starting to boom.  Other local favorites, including Corner Pub and 12South Taproom, have also announced plans to expand to the The Nations.  The new Frothy Monkey will be located at Centennial and 51st Avenue North.

New Sylvan Park Restaurant to Open First Week in April

Eater Nashville is reporting Answer will be opening in Sylvan Park on April 4.  Located on 46th Avenue next to Scout’s Barbershop, the family friendly restaurant will feature sharable plates between $5 and $25. From Nashville Post:  Nashville-based developer FMBC Investments is targeting a late-year start on a shipping container residential building on a Wedgewood-Houston parcel adjacent to the site on which Metro is eyeing a soccer stadium.   To be located at 2150 Byrum Ave. (see the site here courtesy of Google Maps), the three-story residential structure will offer 83 units and be called 83 Freight. Previously, the building was to have included 91 units.

Warmer Temperatures Contribute to Early Spring for Middle Tennessee Real Estate Market

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 7, 2017) – There were 2,507 home closings reported for the month of February, according to data provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®.

This represents an increase of 9.3 percent from the 2,293 closings reported in February 2016. Year-to-date closings through February 2017 are 4,918, a 10.3 percent increase from the 4,460 closings reported through February 2016.
