Housing Market Positive Trends Continue into Second Half of the Year

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 7, 2017) – There were 3,872 closings reported for the month of July, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This represents an increase of 4.5 percent over the 3,705 closings reported for July 2016.  Year-to-date closings total 23,365. That is a 5.5 percent increase compared to the 22,157 closings reported through July 2016.

Best May on Record for Middle Tennessee Housing Market

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 7, 2017) – There were 3,943 closings reported for the month of May, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This represents an increase of 6.6 percent over the 3,698 closings reported for May 2016.  Year-to-date closings total 15,606. That is a 7 percent increase compared to the 14,583 closings reported through May 2016.

Housing Market Shows Signs of Evening out in April

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 8, 2017) – There were 3,325 home closings reported for the month of April, according to figures provided by the Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This represents an increase of 1.3 percent from the 3,284 closings reported for April 2016.  Year-to-date closings total 11,663.  That is a 7.1 percent increase compared to the 10,885 closings reported through April 2016.

Middle Tennessee Home Sales See Strong Spring Start in March

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 7, 2017) – There were 3,420 home closings reported for the month of March, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This figure represents an 8.9 percent increase compared to the 3,141 closings in March 2016.  Data for the first quarter of 2017 showed 8,338 closings, up 9.7 percent from the 7,601 closings during the first quarter of 2016.

Warmer Temperatures Contribute to Early Spring for Middle Tennessee Real Estate Market

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 7, 2017) – There were 2,507 home closings reported for the month of February, according to data provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®.

This represents an increase of 9.3 percent from the 2,293 closings reported in February 2016. Year-to-date closings through February 2017 are 4,918, a 10.3 percent increase from the 4,460 closings reported through February 2016.

Best January on Record for Middle Tennessee Housing Market

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 7, 2017) – There were 2,411 home closings reported for the month of January, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS®. This figure is up 11.2 percent from the 2,167 closings reported for the same period last year.     “Our market just proved you can buy and sell a home during the winter,” said Greater Nashville REALTORS President Scott Troxel. “The winter months are actually a good time for serious buyers. There are fewer properties on the market, but there is also less competition for those properties.

Middle Tennessee Home Sales Finish with a Strong Fourth Quarter

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 9, 2017) – There were 3,280 closings during the month of December, according to figures provided by Greater Nashville REALTORS® (formerly the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS). This is a 2.7 percent increase from the 3,194 closings reported for the same period in 2015.  Fourth quarter closings were 9,582 for the Middle Tennessee area. That total is an 11 percent increase from the 8,621 closings during the fourth quarter of 2015.

October Was a Hot Month for Home Sales in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 8, 2016) – There were 3,324 home closings reported for the month of October, according to figures provided by the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®.  This figure is up 9.7 percent from the 3,030 closings reported for the same period last year.  Year-to-date closings for the Greater Nashville area were 32,696 at the end of October. That is an increase of 4.5 percent from the 31,282 closings, reported through October 2015.

Home Sales Steady in Middle Tennessee Through Third Quarter

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2016) – There were 3,474 home closings reported for the month of September, according to figures provided by the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®. That number is up 0.8 percent from the 3,444 closings reported for the same period last year.

Third quarter numbers experienced a 1.2 percent decrease from 2015 with 10,920 closings reported, compared to last year’s third quarter closings of 11,046.
