Germantown site could land grocery, hotel

Mixed-used development eyed for Cumberland River-area property.  A developer is targeting a Germantown site for a project that would include a grocery store, a hotel and office space.  To span about 400,000 square feet and rise six stories, the building also would include retail and structured parking spaces, according to a Metro document. The developer is not identified on the document.

Goldberg brothers to open new restaurant in Germantown

According to the Nashville Business Journal, Strategic Hospitality will soon be opening a new restaurant in Germantown on the corner of 4th Ave North and Madison Street.   Henrietta Red will open later this year and will feature a raw bar and dining room for 70 guests with communal tables.

2016 Nashville Wine & Food Festival

Germantown’s Historic Elliott School to be converted to condos

The Nashville Post is reporting that the developers of the historic Elliott School site in Germantown will build 77 condo units ranging from 650-2300 square feet.  The current Elliott School building located on Madison Street between 6th and 7th avenue will remain and converted to condos.   Two additional buildings will also be constructed and  will include 2- and 3- story townhomes.  Manuel Zeitlin will serve as architect on the project.

May start targeted for mixed-use project in Germantown

The co-developers of a mixed-use building planned for Germantown for more than a year are hoping to break ground in late May on the project.  Charlotte-based Delray Ventures and Bea Land Co., a subsidiary of Grove Park Land Co. in Brentwood, will go before the Metro Planning Commission on Thursday, May 12, to request specific plan zoning for the site, which is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Third Avenue North and Madison Street.

Restaurant, bar eyed for former Germantown homes

Two pre-World War II-constructed Germantown buildings that were once homes are slated to be reinvented with a restaurant and a bar, respectively, according to a Metro Codes Department document.  The buildings are located on properties with addresses of 1318 and 1326 Sixth Ave. N. (see here courtesy of Google Maps) and were at one time to be included in a larger-scale adaptive reuse project.
